I moved to Los Angeles from Seattle in November to accept a new teaching position.I teach 7th grade history and music. I am originally from Barcelona,and I am finding Los Angeles a challenge,not only to my driving skills, but, also the diversity I encounter in the people I meet each day. I have met such lovely people who have been so kind and warm to a stranger.

I live by the Golden Rule. I have 4 wonderful older brothers whom I adore. Miguel is hearing impaired and is an inspiration to me as he overcame this impairment to become an aeronautical engineer and there is nothing he cannot do. Our signing can be quite animated when we spar over what to eat for dinner.

I love books, they provide me with such wonderment and take me places of happiness and awe. I am not fond of the Kindle, in fact, if you ask me, I shall gladly tell you my opinion of that dastardly gadget.

My plans are to go back to school and finish my doctorate program in hopes of someday teaching at the college level.

I define myself as a woman of substance, always looking beyond the horizon, hoping to make a difference in the lives of my students so they may find a love of history so overpowering, they will pursue the dream of teaching.

Having been reared near the sea,I love the water. I enjoy scuba diving, swimming, sailing, and I recently learned kite-boarding which has proved quite the challenge for me. I enjoy hiking and camping. Seeing the stars above from a sleeping bag is my idea of perfection.
